We survived!

Late Thursday night Jack woke me up coveres in vomit. Poor baby, after 2 more wakeups and a good sleep he was feeling better. No tummy ache, fever or puke. Since he was the only one who was sick, we picked up our neice and went to Christmas in the park. They have all these trees set up that different groups decorate. They also had a ton of carnival rides. We had a quick dinner at Bennigans. I was so excited! I thought they were only on the east coast and had gone in bankruptcy. Not sure what all the hype is about but I'll tale TGI Fridays anytime over these jokers. After dinner we went to Global wintet wonderland. They have all these lit up structures, the golden gate btidge, pyramids and temples. It was so cold so we cut our trip early and headed home.

Saturday morning it hit. Because I suck at life and hadn't started my holiday baking, Brannan took the boys to the mall. I made 2 batches of muddy buddies and took a shower and was down for the count. Poor Ryan threw up in Safeway and in the car on the way home. After a bath. We snuggled up for bed when the unthinkable happened. He sat up, threw up ON MY MACBOOK AIR. And we don't have the accidental warrant. Brannan and my brother got sick later in the night and I must have looked a sight crawling from our bed to the living room to play Santa. By The morning we were a little better and infected everyone at my mothers house. And by we I mean B because I refused to touch anyone. (yeah, were that family.)

So I will be blogging from my phone for awhile. I hope everyone had an amazing holiday!

1. Are you a party person? Or do you prefer an intimate gathering with just a few friends?
I love parties. I can't wait until we have our own house (translation:bigger, non ghetto) so we can have parties more often.

2. Would you rather be a guest at a party or the hostess with the mostess?
I like being the hostess. I think Brannan prefers me to be the guest b/c I turn into a crazy person/physcho bitch trying to get everything together.

3. What is your favorite party food or drink? (I'd love to see the recipe!)
I love me some chips and dip. Ranch, onion or cold spinach dip. But I can't pass up a stuffed jalepeno. I've been making these for tail gating. Make them for the main in your life, he'll love you forever.

4. What is the best party you've ever been to?
Ummmm....Probably my sons 1st birthday party. It was awesome all my friends and family came. His godmother flew in from NY to surprise us. It was a great day. No stress and low key.

5. What is your favorite party game?
Scrabble. When I was younger it was spin the bottle. lol

{1} What is your favorite cookie to eat?
My next door neighbor makes the most amazing oatmeal raisin cookies. Like my brother and I will fist fight for them no joke. It's hilarious, 2 grown people wrestling for 2 cookies. Fat asses.

{2} Have you ever done a cookie exchange?
I have not. I would like to but I don't know alot of people who bake.

{3} How are you doing on your holiday shopping?
See above.

{4} What is your holiday shopping style? (A little at a time, or power shopper? Early in the season or last minute? Online or part of the crowd?)
LAst minute and I like to know what I'm going to buy otherwise I feel like it get's out of hand quickly.

And a random seasonal 3 part question...
{5} Light displays...do you put them on your house? What is your style and your fave kind to see?
We have some on the inside of our windows but none outside. I love over the top lights with a theme, all santa, all manger. I'm like a little kid looking at the neighborhood lights.

Dress shopping!

Saturday was my first official bridal gown appointment. I went with my Mama and 2 bridesmaids, the other suck and live out of state. I thought I would want something like this,

or this,

or this,

even this,

My mom and I went to David's Bridal just us 2 and I was not impressed. I felt like all the dresses made me look larger than I was. For our 2nd appointment the consultant comes over wearing a cheetah scarf. I knew she would get me. I told her no lace, no a line, no beading. My 3rd dress had all 3. And you know what? I LOVED it. Like head over heels. It was so beautiful and fit great! made me look teeny tiny. I'm not going to post pictures but the designer is Maggie Sottero. Girlfriend knows whats up. Since my Mom is paying for the dress were still going to look around but I really think that this is the one! EEEEEEKKKK!!!! Happy Monday girls! I hope you all had a great weekend!

I'm Alive!

Hi girls! Sorry for being so MIA. All the boys in the house are sick. Ryan has an ear infection, Jack has a cough and my brother and Brannan have a nasty cold :( Hopefully I won't be joining them. I'm looking for my camera cord and then will be uploading pictures from Disneyland. Brannan asked me to marry him while we were there so we are busy planning our wedding. And by we I mean me and he just nods along "yeah, that sounds good" :)

1. do you have any musical talents?
I played the flute for 2 years in elementary school. I wasn't very good though.

2. what role, if any, does music play in your life?
Hmmm...a big one for me. We love to listen to music and sing along. My parents are more musical people. They'll have parties and people bring their instruments and they all play together....dead serious. Growing up my mom had this big orange music book and she would sing to us at bed time instead of reading books. It was fun b/c she would sing us the tickle song ( One Song from Snow White and the seven dwatfs)

3. what is your all time favorite song?
Just one? Probably "you are my sunshine" My mom and I used to sing it together and now Jack and I sing it.

4. do you sing in the shower?
Not any more, I used to move my boom box into the bathroom and have a full blown concert, now I'm just in and out.

5. has a song ever made you cry?
All the freaking time! Go get some tissue before you watch. I'm dead serious.

30 days of Thanks.

I saw this on Mamarazzi's blog and had to link up. Even though I'm horrible at challenges and daily blogs this seems like a good reason too. I'm not going to be taking daily pictures b/c let's face it, that shiz would never happen.

Day 1. My Papa. November 1st was his birthday so I think it is appropriate to have him be #1. He passed away 10 years ago. He was my favorite person. My go to when I needed a kick in the ass or to be told how awesome I was. I wish he was here to see my boys They would have had so much fun together.

Day 2. Jack. My little drama queen. He always make my days better. He makes me laugh and be silly and just chill out.

How could you not love that little face?

See you tomorrow!

I mustache you a question..

{1} How did you celebrate Halloween? Trick or treating? Adult party? Trunk or treat?

For the past 4 years we've gone to my god mothers. We have dinner and visit then trick or treat around her neighborhood. Jack is old enough now to help pass out candy and he loves the power of only giving kids one piece.

{2} What candy is your favorite/the first thing you steal from the kids?
Reeses. But I hate how they get all mushy/watery in the middle. What's up with that?

{3} What kind of candy do you give out, is it your favorite? or something you know you won't be tempted to eat?

We don't give out candy at our house b/c our neighborhood sucks.is ghetto/dangerous. But at my moms and god mothers they always get the good stuff.

{4} How soon after Halloween do you take down decorations and put away costumes?

I took down most of the yesterday. I'll finish up today. So sad :(

{5} When do you decorate for the next holiday?

I already have some plastic gourds in my jars for Thanksgiving, sometime next week I'll really start.

Our love story.

I come from a family of great love stories. Really sweet ones.

My Nana and Papa met through his sister who was my Nana's best friend in high school. She used to go to their house after school everyday after school and do her homework in the kitchen. The boys weren't allowed in the kitchen because of this. So my Nana would pretend to do her homework and listen to my Papa talk in the other room. She fell in love with his voice before she ever met him. A few months after their first date he took her on a ferry boat ride and proposed to her as the ferry went under the bay bridge. They were married for over 50 years.

My mom and (step)dad went to church together and sang in the choir. We went on a church camp trip down to Big Sur and another camp site was being rude to me and the other kids. My dad and his brother went over there and straightened them out. That did it for my mom. About a year or so later they were married at Big Sur.

My sister and her husband are high school sweethearts. They've been together 20 years.

And then there is my love story. On the eve of my 24th birthday my girlfriends and I went to The Saddle rack in Fremont.

We danced.

I was fed large amounts of alcohol.

There was a photo shoot.

For the record, Jersey Shore had just come on the air when these pictures were taken.

Some woman was thrown out for doing a lil something something in the mens room ( I wish I had a picture of that!)

And then at midnight everyone sang me Happy Birthday and this tall, handsome man came over and bought me a drink. Which Felicia Drank b/c she's a champ and Mama was done.

Everything after that gets a little.....fuzzy.

I remember him kissing me and walking us to the car. And me being a lunatic asking him like 50 times if he was going to call me. "You're gonna call me right?" "You have my number so make sure you call me." With sanity like that how could he not?

And then there was the car ride home.

Somebody got a little sick. And the girls ducked to not get hit. (For the record I cleaned it up. Super drunk with baby wipes that I threw out the window.)

The following Saturday we had our first date. I came over twice to cook him dinner and we went out on Valentine's Day. And the Saturday after He pretty much moved in.

And then last week this happened...

I'll do another post on that later :)

See you next week!

Thank you to everyone for all your funny/sweet comments! My mother in law was in town this past week so I haven't been blogging and in 2.5 hours were off to Disneyland! I'm so excited I can't sleep.

Who watched the 2nd part of the NJ housewives reunion. Someone should probably let Teresa know she is not a celebrity, her husband is a disgusting pig and talking over someone doesn't make you right. It makes you an asshole.

I have batteries for my camera/video camera so there will be a huge photo post when I get back. Until then please have an amazing week!

Early morning with my boys.

Photobucket

{1} When was the last time you lost your temper?
Sunday. Jack wasn't listening (as usual). He likes to pick up his brother even though he know's better.

{2} What 3 words best describe you?
Hmmmmm....Laid-back, high strung, and thoughtful. I'm pretty calm most of the time, but when I get anxious it completely takes over.

{3} What movie could you watch over and over again and never get tired of?
You've got mail and when Harry met Sally. I love me some Meg Ryan.

{4} If you could do something dangerous, just once, with no risk, what would you do?
No. I skydived when I was 19, that's all the danger I need.

{5} Which is more important intelligence or common sense?
Common sense. You can teach intelligence but not common sense.

Happy Wednesday! Hope on over and link up!

Trendy tuesday!

I'm linking up with Meghan

Trendy Tuesday

Trendy tuesday

I'm really loving skinny jeans right now. Normally I'm a huge fan of bootcut, but they're so cute cuffed (I'm short)
I love that Tom's donates shoes. I think it's awesome that they give back something so important. Could you imagine not owning any shoes?
Big sunglasses and studs are a must.
And I love big slouchy purses. I've been using a diaper bag too long.

Happy Tuesday dolls!
